Goji Girl

I recently had the pleasure of working on a really fun project. My friend Anna is starting a food blog called Goji Girl and she asked me to create a banner, background pattern and about picture for her. She wanted the banner to be inspired by the Mendl's cake box from The Grand Budapest Hotel. The blog is launching today and it will feature vegetarian recipes for anyone who needs bit of everyday food inspiration. The first recipe looks delicious, don’t miss it! http://gojigirl.se

Karin & Christer & Matisse

I did a remake of this piece: http://karinsoderquist.blogspot.se/2014/05/unpublished.html and turned it into me and Christer at the Matisse exhibition at Tate Modern earlier this year.

Akademikern 9

I made two illustrations for the latest issue of Akademikern magazine that were really fun to work on. One was for an article about studying online and one was for an article about using social media at work. I snook a tiny self-portrait into one of them, can you spot it?

That Which We Do Not Understand - Amelia's Magazine 10th Anniversary!

I'm super excited about being involved in this project! Amelia's Magazine is celebrating it's 10th Anniversary by putting together a limited edition artists' book that will feature artwork as well as creative writing inspired by the theme "That Which We Do Not Understand". The book will be printed with gold spot printing on every page and funded through a Kickstarter campaign. You can learn more about the project from this video:

The contributions where selected through an open brief and my submission The Magician's Assistant has been chosen, not only to be featured in the book, but also to be made into an A3 limited edition faux gold print!

If you'd like to support the project and help the book get printed you can do so by pledging to get a copy or a limited edition print (or any of the other nice things that are available) over at Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ameliagregory/amelias-magazine-gold-foil-artists-book-and-gold-l  Please do, it'd be great to see the book become reality!

I'd also like to send a big thanks to fellow batgirl Emma Farrarons for telling me about the project. You can see her beautiful artwork for the book and read about her thoughts behind it here: www.unpetitblog.com/2014/11/amelias-magazine-10th-anniversary.html

Välfärdsval

I had a bunch of illustrations in issue 6 of Akademikern Magazine. They’re highlighting four issues Akademikern thinks are extra important to talk about in connection to the Swedish election this coming Sunday.
