Brown Paper Bag

My works been featured on a lot of blogs recently (which is kind of weird as I haven't been spending nearly as much time on it this past month as I used to, it might have something to do with Mallory putting my Skate Grrrls image on Illustrated Ladies) This time it's Brown Paper Bag saying nice things about me. Thanks!

Today is the day...

Today has been a good day. I had a job interview in the morning and in the afternoon they called and said that the job was mine if I wanted it. Between that I had a raspberry and salt liquorice flavoured cupcake at Cupcake Sthlm...

and saw the Klara Kristalova exhibition at Bonniers Konsthall. It was really good and completely insane.

The Best of Torbjörn's Bookshelf

The first two months in Stockholm me and my boyfriend are staying in a flat that we're borrowing from a relative of mine. It's in a beautiful part of town, close to the water and 2 minutes from the park. It's got high ceilings, paintings on the walls and a bookshelf filled with old books and records. I was having a look and I found some books with really good looking covers. Here's my favourites from the collection:

The last one is probably more funny than good but there's still something about the composition that I like.

Places I've lived in London

These are the places I lived during my almost 4 years in London. I don't miss the flats themselves but I'm starting to miss how easy it is to find somewhere to live in London. The standard is usually a bit shit but at least you can find somewhere to rent when you need to. And I really miss having my own flat with my own work space. Finding somewhere to live in Stockholm is a bloody nightmare!

Skate Grrrls v.2

Raymond Peynet

My mum gave me these cute salt and pepper shakers that she'd found in the rubbish at work. After doing some google research I found out that they where designed by the french illustrator Raymond Peynet for Rosenthal in the 60's. They're apparently a bit of a collectors item.  I can't believe someone just threw them away!

Weekend Finds

On Friday afternoon I took the train to Strängnäs to visit my mum. I don't have a scanner here yet so I went there to finish of some last minute illustration work, and to see her of course! On Saturday went charity shopping and I found some really nice things:

Cute little ceramic sausage dog <3

Old lady shoes

Beautifully illustrated book about animals from the 60's

A New Career In A New Town

In the beginning of July I relocated from London to Stockholm. I grew up in Sweden and even though I've visited many times, I've never lived in Stockholm before. It's great to get to discover a new city. Me and my boyfriend are borrowing a flat from a relative until we can find a place of our own and it's located in a beautiful part of town. The weather has been amazing and sunny since we arrived (a nice change after nearly 4 years in rainy London) and we've spent a lot of time in a near by park where we met a wild bunny. London is great in many was and I'm sure I'll miss it a lot but right now I'm looking forward to starting a new adventure in Stockholm!

(please excuse the image quality, I'm one of those people who always forget to bring may camera so they're all phone pics)

Nanae Kawahara's Diary

This is me and Nanae Kawahara having tea in one of her daily diary drawings, great isn't it? Nanae is a very talanted illustrator who I had the pleasure of hanging out with a couple of times with in London. I went and had a look at her DOOOOOGS !! exhibition at The Haberdashery cafe and it resulted in this drawing. You can see more of her amazing work here!
